Jimmy Dale Upton

Jimmy Dale Upton, age 81, a resident of Philippi, passed away on Monday February 22, 2021 at his residence. Jimmy was born November 21, 1939 in Philippi, WV a son of the late Robert Lee Upton and Maxine (Heckler) Carr and Step mother, Myrtle Upton. Jimmy was united in marriage to his wife of 62 years Janet T. (Thorne) Upton who survives at home. Also surviving is brother, Dennis Upton and wife Lou of Simpson, WV Half sister, Dorothy Phillips and husband Ron of Philippi Sister-in-law Jane Upton of Lakewood OH Uncle, Frank Upton and wife Georgia of OH Several nieces and nephews. Jimmy was preceded in death by brother, David Upton. He retired as a mechanic for Sears Company. He enjoyed hunting and was a member of the Philippi United Methodist Church. In honor of Jim’s request cremation will be honored.
