Joelyn G. Ball

Joelyn G. "Jody" Ball age 80 a resident of Rt. 1 Mansfield Addition Philippi passed away on Thursday, May 24, 2012 at her residence. She was born October 15, 1931 in Chesterfield, South Carolina a daughter of the late Lonnie and Sarah Ella (Lampley) Graves. She was united in marriage in 1951 to Lewis Colen Ball who survives. Also surviving, One daughter, Brenda K. Lantz and companion Gary Mills, Belington One son, Tony Lewis Ball and wife Kathy of Tacy Community, Philippi one sister, Carol Rhyne of Chesterfield, South Carolina Four grandchildren, Derrick Lantz; Chastity (Lantz) Johnson and husband Samuel; Hather (Ball) Payne and husband Roy; and Eddie Parsons Nine great-grandchildren: Kaetlynn Johnson, Abigail Johnson, Tawny Johnson, Hunter Payne, Zack Payne, Emily Payne, Taylor Lantz, Blake Lantz, Grayson Lantz. Mrs. Lantz was preceded in death by ex son-in-law Randy H. Lantz who is survived by wife Mary Beth Lantz of Philippi, granddaughter Tawny Johnson, three brothers and four sisters. Mrs. Lantz retired as a day care provider, she was a member of the Golden Wing Road Riders Association. Had the honor to ride a motorcycle over one half million miles. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 216 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Saturday May 26, from 3-8 pm and on Sunday May 27, from 8 am- 3 pm the service hour with Elder Bob Perry officiating. Interment will follow in the Philippi Masonic Cemetery.
