John Bradford Stemple, age 83, a resident of Tygart Center in Fairmont, WV, and a former resident of Philippi, passed away Sunday April 7, 2024. John was born December 2, 1940 in Philippi, a son of the late Nelson Bradford and Abigail (Duckworth) Stemple.
John enjoyed hunting, fishing, working, and spent countless hours cutting firewood. He served in the US Air Force.
Surviving are children, John Stemple and wife Catherine of Clarksburg, Kimberly Johnelle “Jo Jo” Stemple and Charlene Mattson of VA; grandchildren Tavia Stemple DeFazio, and Tanya Stemple; great grandchildren Grayce, Anna, and Anthony DeFazio; siblings Frank Stemple and wife Joy of Florida, Sue Green and husband Steve of Martinsburg, WV, Elizabeth Duffet of Manassas, VA, Charles Daris Stemple and wife Laurel of Philippi.
John was preceded in death by siblings James Stemple and Joyce Deturk.
