Were looking to connect with the descendants of Hugo Max and Bertha Lorenz. We believe that these were the grandparents of Joyce Louise Kerr. If this is true, then Joyce was the first cousin of my mother Alice Devlin. My mothers mother was Paula Lorenz Devlin. We are seeking after family photos and family history. My Mom just turned 80 this week. She has been searching for her mothers family for a great many years. My phone number is 954-452-9318

Our sincerest sympathy in the passing of Joyce. She was a dear friend to my dad Elza Wilson. She was part of the Sunday lunch group that met after church every Sun. with my dad and Cortez and Louise Tipton. She would also see Elza walking on the street and would give him a ride to where he was going. She was a great friend to him. Later as my dad aged, I joined them every few weeks for the Sun. dinner at a local restaurant. I am glad to have known Joyce. She was a very positive and spiritual influence in my life. She will be missed. Arnetta Hatfield

What a legacy this blessed woman leaves to us all! Joyce continued to amaze me with her positive attitude through "thick and thin!" I know she would say to us all, "Stay close to the Lord, and expect good things!"

To Joyce's family: Joyce was a lovely gracious lady I Met when her boys were students at Philip Barbour High School. As I rededicated my life to the Lord, Joyce became a sister in the Lord that I loved to learn from. She was always gracious, kind and loving, she always had time to talk, and wisdom to impart. My admiration for her and my desire to have a close relation to the Lord as she had grew over the years. As we talked about our sons, her advice to me was always, "Love them and pray for them." She left a wonderful legacy. Miss her, but see that beautiful smile as she greets her Savior. When I join her in heaven, I will say, "Thank you for giving to the Lord. I am a life that was changed." May God comfort and bless you all.

To Joyce's family and friends - I want to express my deepest condolences at Joyce's passing. She made such a difference in the lives of the inmates she visited through the PVS program. She was also a well-liked volunteer and staff enjoyed her visits to our institution. She was kind, caring, and generous with her concern for all. She will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched. With kind regards, Warden Deboo & Staff
