Judith Ann Dean, age 82, a resident of Belington, passed away Tuesday April 22, 2025, at her residence. Judith was born February 20, 1943, in Barbour County, a daughter of Clifford Blaine and Mary Elizabeth (Price) Golden.
Judith worked as a waitress for the City Restaurant and Philippi Inn, later she became a homemaker. Judith enjoyed cooking and canning, especially what she grew from her garden. She enjoyed going fishing and going on camping trips. Judith often crocheted and was an avid bowler. Judith always cherished the time spent with her family. Judith attended the Blueville Church of Christ.
Surviving children Tammy Stuart and husband Charlie, Bill Golden and wife Erin, Mary Marcon Dean, Clinton Andrew Dean and wife Sherri, Eric Todd Dean and wife Kelly, Jim and Pat Dean, Connie Davis and late husband Tom, Cheryl and Mike Golden, and Denise Dean, Larry Ritter and wife Barb and Pat Ritter; 27 grandchildren; 52 great grandchildren, 18 great-great grandchildren; siblings Karen Casto, Pat and Jim Cross, Evelyn and Robin Synder, Shirley and James Bennett, Clifford Terry Golden; several nieces, nephews and extended family.
Judith was preceded in death by her parents Clifford Blaine and Mary Elizabeth Golden; husband Clinton Andrew Dean; children Junior Dean, Terry Ritter, Tom and Seata Ritter, Mary Lou Streets, and Claude Streets one grandchild; one great-great grandchild; sister-in-law Deborah “Debbie” Golden; brother-in-law Ed Casto.
Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home and on-site Crematory 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Friday April 25, from 10am- 1 pm. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm in the funeral home chapel with Judith’s brother Clifford Terry Golden will officiate the funeral service. Interment will follow in the Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery.
