Judy Weekley

Judy Weekley, age 82, a resident of Volga passed away Friday August 13, 2021 at her residence. Judy was born June 12, 1939 in Galloway, WV a daughter of the late Woodrow and Virginia (Bennett) Purkey. Judy was united in marriage on April 4, 1958 to her husband of 63 years, George Weekley who survives at home. Also surviving Daughters, Krista Frey and husband Kevin of Volga Kathy Weekley and companion Rick McElwain of Volga Sister, Jennifer Conaway and husband Larry of Parkersburg Grandchildren, Karly Tucci and husband Ben of Nutterfort, Brittany Lockett and husband Jake of Clarksburg, Kody Frey and companion Daphne Parks of Jane Lew Great grandchildren, Trey Tucci, Kingsly Lockett, and Owen Hines Several nieces and nephews Judy was preceded in death by sister, Jackie Haddix, brothers, Butch Purkey and Ronnie Purkey. Judy had worked at the Barbour County Magistrate office as a clerk, she presided as city Judge for City of Philippi, and she was also a homemaker. She loved to decorate and was very stylish. Judy will be missed by her family and many friends. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
