Kathleen Silman

Kathleen (Dayton) Silman age 57 a resident of Chestnut St. Philippi passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 at Broaddus Hospital. She was born in Groton, Connecticut on June 4, 1956 a daughter of Calvin Dayton and Doris Louise (Tate) Dayton who survives at her home at Baughman Towers. She was united in marriage to Roger Silman on November 21, 1981 who preceded her in death January 3, 2012. Surviving her is, Four children, Romy Daniel Abacan of Germany Robert Allen Abacan of California Roger Lee Silman and wife Jennifer of Erie, PA Tiffany Marie Cutlip and husband Doug of Belington Three sisters, Barbara Hollingquest of Texas Elizabeth Ritter and husband Carl of Louisiana Doris Louise Compton of Morgantown One brother, Calvin Dayton, Jr. and wife Noreen of Groton, Conn. Several grandchildren, two great-grandchildren Ms. Silman was preceded in death by one brother, William James Dayton and sister, Sandra May Dicecca She was a homemaker and a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post #410. She enjoyed playing bingo and crocheting. Ms. Silman request for cremation will be honored. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 10, 2014 at Wright Funeral Home 216 N. Walnut St. Philippi with Pastor Richard Chamber officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.
