Kenneth Brooks Carder, Jr. age 74 a resident of Bridgeport, WV passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2017 in St. Mary’s Hospital. He was born September 17, 1943 in Philippi, WV a son of the late Kenneth Brooks Carder, Sr. and Gladys Pearl (King) Upton. He was united in marriage December 11, 1965 to Barbara L. (George) Carder who survives. Also surviving-
One daughter, Marsha Carder of Worthington, WV
Two sons, Kenneth Lee Carder and wife Kimberly of Philippi, James Enoch Carder and wife Amy of Shinnston
One brother, William Lee Carder and wife Carol of St. Marys, WV
Seven grandchildren, two step-grandchildren
Mr. Carder was a rigger for Weirton Steel and a school bus driver for Barbour Co. Schools.He served in the US Army. He loved fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.He was a member of Bible Baptist Temple in Stonewood
Friends will be received at Wright Funeral Home 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Saturday, December 9, 2017 from 12-2 pm. Funeral services will be at 2 pm with Pastor Charles V. Madaus officiating. Interment will follow in the Silent Grove Cemetery with military honors being accorded.
