Hunter Lesser left a message on April 15, 2019:
Larry was a fine gentleman & a true American patriot. He was a lover of history & its lessons of liberty. I had the privilege to work with him on the acquisition and preservation of Laurel Hill Civil War Battlefield. Larry played a key role in that effort, always leading, yet never seeking the limelight for his considerable efforts. My fondest memories of Larry are on horseback, dressed in his cavalry uniform at the Laurel Hill reenactments. With a gleam in his eye & a smiling face, he looked ready to lead the charge for all that is just & right in this world. God bless Larry & his family.
Former House of Delegate Member Stanley E. Shaver left a message on April 14, 2019:
Larry Corley was a true patriot and a man of honor. He was without a doubt the most loyal democrat I ever met in the 10 years I served in the House of Delegates 46th District. He was a true friend and an avid turkey hunter. I was fortunate enough to get to turkey hunt with Larry before he left this earth. He worked exceptionally hard to get democrats elected to local, state, and national offices. James Wager, Larry and I campaigned together all over Barbour County when I ran for the Senate in 2014. All told I believe we spend 11 days going door to door in Barbour County. Everyone we met loved Larry and appreciated his dedication and hard work ethic. He will be missed by all the members of the VFW, his family, and the citizens of Barbour County.
Frank and Joy Stemple left a message on April 13, 2019:
Our deepest sympathy to the family and friends of Larry. He was a man who through his quiet involvment and actions made a positive mark and many kind memories. The world would be better off if there were more like LARRY and less like others. Larry will certainly be missed and fondly remembered.
