Lisa Ann Gillis-Harris, age 50, a resident of Philippi, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday April 20, 2022 at her residence. Lisa was born May 31, 1971 in Philippi, a daughter of the late Jerl and Marlene (White) McCauley. Lisa was united in marriage on December 14, 2012 to Gary Gene Harris II who survives. Also surviving are her children, Samantha Gillis, Rebekah and husband Jonathan Loar both of Philippi, and Jared Gillis, her grandchildren, Macie and McKinlee, her fur grandbabies, Gage, Amaretto, and Aspen, fur children Lydia and Peanut, aunt Joyce White of Philippi, Ruth of Ohio, Sue Vose of Philippi, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and cousins. Lisa was the last surviving member of her immediate family having been preceded in death by siblings, Donald, Dennis, and Violet. Lisa enjoyed playing and spending time with her children, fur children, grandbabies and fur grandbabies.
Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home and Crematory 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Monday April 25, from 5-8 pm and on Tuesday April 26, from 8 am- 2 pm. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm. Interment will follow in the Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery.
