Loraine Frayer, age 82, a resident of Philippi, passed away Monday February 17, 2020 in the United Hospital Center. Loraine was born January 10, 1938 in Port Austin, MI, a daughter of the late Amos and Pauline (Dickenson) Mollison. Loraine was united in marriage on May 14, 1960 to James Blair Frayer who preceded her in death on November 12, 2017. Surviving are-
Two daughters, Rhonda Gould and husband Ted of Volga
Cheryl Wolfe and husband Brent of Flemington
Son, Gary L. Frayer and wife Karen of Moatsville
Seven grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren
Loraine was preceded in death by son, Robert A. Frayer.
She retired as a cook from Barbour County Schools. Loraine was a member of the Barbour County CEOS, and also TOPS. She was an avid NASCAR fan, she enjoyed crosstitching, and Loraine never met a stranger she enjoyed socializing with everyone. She was a member of Jerusalem United Methodist Church.
Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home and Crematory 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Wednesday February 19, from 6-8 pm and on Thursday February 20, from 8 am- 2 pm the service hour with Rev. Jimmy Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in the Locust Grove Cemetery.







I LOST ONE OF MY BEST FRIENDS IN YOU LORAINE, WE HAVE HAD SO MUCH FUN FISHING, ELK HUNTING IN COLORADO, AND JUST SETTING IN OUR HOMES TALKING AND LAUGHING. i LOVE YOU SO MUCH LORAINE MY HEART IS BROKEN! UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN RIP AND TELL JIM HI FOR ME AND JACK AND THAT WE MISS HIM!

Loraine was such a kind and compassionate lady. She always had a kind word for everyone.

I'm surprised and saddened to learn of Loraine's passing. We had a nice visit together in December. I found her reading the newspaper and we talked about current events, about people we knew in common and our time working together; She updated me on how and what her children were doing, her room-mate, her love for the “soaps” and her health. She was blessed to have a clear mind. RIP Loraine
