Margaret Ann Tenney

July 1, 1945 ~ September 2, 2022

Margaret Ann Tenney, age 77, a resident of Philippi, passed away peacefully Friday September 2, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her family.  Maggie was born July 1, 1945 in Philippi a daughter of the late Henry Knight and Margaret (Propst) Knight.  Maggie is survived by her companion of 38 years Kevin Lantz whom she loved and liked to aggravate. Also surviving are children, Danny Tenney of Philippi, Mark Tenney and wife Katherine of Philippi, Wes Lantz and wife Amanda of Philippi, Vonda Lantz of Grafton, Fred Tenney and wife Susan of Florida.  Nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.  Brothers, Donald Knight of Quiet Dell, Randall Knight and wife Linda of Canvas, WV, and Raymond Randolph and wife Janet of Charleston. Maggie retired from Wal-Mart.  She was a member of the Elk City Piece Makers, and the Elk City United Methodist Church.  Maggie enjoyed quilting, traveling, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Monday September 5, from 5-8 pm and on Tuesday September 6, from 8- 11 am.  Funeral services will be conducted at 11 am with Pastor Mike Rexroad officiating.  Interment will follow in the Tacy Crossroads Cemetery.

  10. Loved her so much! She was my travel partner for so many years. Amish Country, DC, Arkansas, and many times to Florida. She had a huge impact on my life and I know so many others. I’m so sorry to all her family and friends My prayers are with you all.
