Martha Hunt

Martha Margaret Hunt, age 95, a resident of Mansfield Place for the past 3 years and formerly of Little Hacker, passed away on Tuesday, July 9, 2013. She was born December 26, 1917 in Lost Creek, WV a daughter of the late John and Nora Maxwell Sandy. She was united in marriage February 9, 1938 to Buddy Hunt who preceded her in death September 28, 1990. Surviving are :Two daughters: Sharon Weekley and husband Norman of Parkersburg, WV Joan Spencer and husband Billy of Clarksburg, WV One son: Ronald J. Hunt and wife Judith of Bridgeport, WV Three grandchildren: Terry Spencer, Crystal Tenda, and Kim Bizjak Two great-grandchildren: Mattie Tenda and Hunter Bizjak Mrs. Hunt was preceded in death by: Six sisters: twin Mary Pratt, Kathleen McClean, Pearline Kerr, Josephine Medford, Elma Silber and Eugenia Swiger. Seven brothers: Charles, Burl, Howard, Ray, Lawrence, Daniel and John Sandy. Mrs. Hunt was a mother and housewife. She cooked at many local restaurants and at the Board of Education. She was co-owner of the Hunt’s Pizza Shop in Mansfield. She was a Methodist by faith.

  3. Heaven has gained a wonderful soul. She will be missed by many people. We have lots of good memories of her from our grade school days. Our prayers go out to Sharon, Judy and Ronnie for the strength to carry on. She will be missed.
