Mary Annette Burner Shaffer, age 62, a resident of Union Community passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday November 16, 2021 at her residence. Annette was born October 23, 1959 in Philippi, a daughter of the late Jerry Burner Sr. and Gladolene (Andrick) Burner Martin of Valley Furnace. Annette was united in marriage on October 22, 1994 to David Todd Shaffer who survives at home. Also surviving is

Annette was preceded in death by father, Jerry Burner, Sr. grandparents, Clyde and Mossie Burner, Andrew and Martha Andrick, father-in-law David Shaffer
Annette worked for Broaddus Hospital, Taylor County Health Department, Heartland of Clarksburg, and Mansfield Place. She loved to trout fish, and go camping. She enjoyed riding 4-wheelers, horses, spending time with her grandchildren, and always willing to help anyone.
She was a member of the Shiloh Church of the Brethren
Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home and Crematory 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Saturday November 20, from 4-8 pm and on Sunday November 21, from 8 am- 2 pm.
