Mary E. Stout, age 92, a resident of Volga passed away on Saturday October 27, 2018 at the home of her daughter whom she made her home with for the past year and half. Mary was born January 15, 1926 in Cox Mills, WV a daughter of the late Asa Bailey Sr. and Edna (Holbert) Bailey. Mary was united in marriage on March 29, 1948 to Glenn Curtis Stout Sr. who preceded her in death on July 13, 1998.
Surviving are three children, Elizabeth Jane Larson and husband Gene of Wichita, KS Glenn Curtis Stout Jr. and wife Janet of Volga Michella D. Mathew and companion John Sisk of Volga
Twin Brother, Asa Bailey Jr. of Williamsburg, VA
Four grandchildren, Gena Larson, and companion Brice Narkos; Gene R. Larson Jr. and companion Amanda Cavralles; Nikki Bowmar and husband Jeff; Autumn Warner and husband, Roger
Six great grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter
Feline companion, Cuddles
Mary was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. She was a homemaker, a lifetime member of Weight Watchers. Mary loved gardening, quilting and most of all spending time and tending her family.
Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Wednesday October 31, from 6-8 pm and on Thursday November 1, from 8 am- 1 pm the service hour with Rev. Clifford Shaw officiating. Interment will follow in the Weston Masonic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mountain Hospice, 1002 Crim Ave. Belington, WV 26250.
