Melanie Dawn Jacques

Melanie Dawn Jacques, age 49, a resident of Grafton, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, May 23, 2020 in Ruby Memorial Hospital. Dawn was born July 31, 1970 in Elkins, WV a daughter of Richard N. Freeman of Moatsville, and the late Judith Carol (Boyles) Freeman. Dawn was united in marriage on May 19, 1996 to Matt Jacques who survives at home. Also surviving- Daughter, Brittany Dawn Jacques of Grafton Brothers, Richie Freeman of Moatsville Adam Freeman and wife Rebecca of Belington Nephew, Hunter Freeman, Moatsville Dawn was also preceded in death by brother, Rodney Freeman. She worked as a Registered Nurse of Anna Jarvis Elementary School. Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home and Crematory 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Wednesday May 27, from 1-8 pm and on Thursday May 28, from 8 am – 12 pm. Funeral services will be held at 12 pm with Pastor Todd Mouser officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery.

We didn't see each other often but picked up right back like it was yesterday. I will always remember the time you took me to the airport and had to bring my phone back.   7. I was Dawns roommate our last year of nursing school and we were in each others weddings. Although we grew apart over the years we were still in touch on Facebook. She was a wonderful friend and nurse. I am so sorry for your loss and am heartbroken
