Murel Lee Elmond, age 74, a resident of Brownton Community passed unexpectedly from this life on Friday December 13, 2024. Murel was born February 10, 1950 in Brownton a son of Robert Lewis and Dorothy Fay (Parsons) Elmond.
Murel served in the US Army from 1969-1971 and served 12 years in the Army Reserves. Murel worked construction for MEC Construction, and currently was working at the Lois A Johnson VA Medical Center. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and watching tv with his grandchildren. Murel was an avid collector of antiques. He always looking for a deal, attending flea markets, pawn shops, and yards sales. He attended the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.
Murel is survived by his children, Michelle Warden and husband Robert, Heather Boylen and husband Scott, Chris Elmond, and Nathan Elmond and wife Natasha; son-in-law Jeremy Mayle; brother Robert Elmond; 12 grandchildren, three great grandchildren.
Murel was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Dorothy Elmond; daughter Jami Mayle; and brother Alfred Elmond.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
