Born on February 7, 1941, in Nutter Fort, WVA, Nancy was the daughter of the late Paul and Madoline Burner Cox.
After graduating high school, Nancy moved to Washington, D.C., where she built a fulfilling life while raising her children in Northern Virginia. She married Morton “Mac” MacDonald on October 13, 1991, and together they created cherished memories in Virginia, West Virginia, Florida, and South Carolina. Nancy was a devoted mother, Nana, and great Nana, known for her love of family, humor, and ice cream, especially Dairy King’s raspberry soft-serve!
Nancy worked in accounting for the Army Audit Agency and the Military Traffic Management Command, retiring in 2001. In retirement, she cared for her mother and mother-in-law and enjoyed winters in Inverness, Florida.
