Norma Jane Bolton, age 84, a resident of Hickory Flat Rd. Buckhannon passed away Wednesday October 25, 2017 in St. Joseph Hospital. She was born July 20, 1933 in Lillian, WV a daughter of the late Atha and Pearl (Dadisman) Burner. Surviving are-
Three sons, Larell Bolton and wife Sue of Buckhannon
Allen Bolton of Philippi
Ricky Bolton of Buckhannon

Brothers and Sisters, Robert Burner of Louisville, OH
Luwanna Burner-Hunt of Battletown, KY
Sandra Franklin of Louisville, OH
Keith Burner and wife Kay of North Canton, OH
Marie Scott and husband Dan of Weeki Wachee, FL
Janice Gaston and husband Dick of Tallahassee, FL

19 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, and 17 great-great grandchildren

Several nieces and nephews

Norma was preceded in death by daughters, Sue Wilson, Oma Lee McCauley, Elizabeth Bolton, son, Gilbert Bolton, brothers Donnie Burner and Jimmy Burner, sister Marsha Zirkle.

Norma retired as a CNA from St. Joseph Hospital. She was well known for opening her home to anyone in need, and for hosting family gatherings. Norma was a member of the Buckhannon Church of Christ.

Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Friday October 27, from 5-8 pm and on Saturday, October 28, from 8am-1:00 pm the service hour with Evangelist Darell Toothman officiating. Interment will follow in the Pitman Cemetery.

Dear Family, I am so sorry for your loss. I wish I was able to make it there to show my respect for my loving Aunt. I will always cherrish the memories. Memories of her helping me recover from bee stings to lice. I remember the many places she lived. From apartment to houses big and small. Serving meals to her "patients" that lived in her house. To pumping water from the well. Another is the many family gatherings and of course my summer visits spending time together. She was a strong and independent woman. I will miss her greatly but celebrate her being made whole again and look forward to seeing her again in heaven.

My heart breaks for you all. I know she has been ill for sometime now. As I watched the wonderful video tribute to her I remember so many memories of her with fondness. I was her next door neighbor for a while 25+ years ago she was like my sons' grandma too along with all her own grandbabies. I shared her heartaches and sorrows through losing 3 of her precious kids. Even after I moved I stayed in touch with her until she no longer knew me, I didn't want to confuse her anymore. I really wish I could be there with you ALL, but know my heart hurts too in your loss. Other obligations are keeping me away. My tears have been shed watching the video and I remember her like she was all those years ago. She lives on in each of our hearts. Sending much love, prayers and friendship
