She was born March 12, 1931 in Barbour Co. a daughter of Lon and Blanche E. (McDaniel) Upton. She was united in marriage March 12, 1961 to Walter G. Mitchell who preceded her in death June 20, 1981. Ms. Mitchell was preceded in death by 12 siblings, Thomas Lee Upton; Willard Upton; Lon E. Upton; Aira D. Upton; Francise V. Upton; Wilbert Upton; Robert Upton; Martha Melinda Sandridge; Dorsey Upton; Dever Upton; Evelyn Nestor and Lorraine Mitchell
She was a homemaker, loved her family and neighbors and caring for them.
She attended Ford Run Pentecostal Church
Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Friday, November 6, 2015 from 5-8 pm and on Saturday, November 7 from 8am-1pm the service hour with Rev. David Brown officiating. Interment will follow in the Mary’s Chapel Cemetery.
