Heavens Angels took O. Pauline Poling Price, 88, of White Oak Rd. Philippi, WV to be with her Heavenly Father May 6, 2021, at the Talbott Personal Care Home, following an extended illness. She was born January 9, 1933, in Tucker County, a daughter of the late Chester Franklin and Elnora (Auvil) Poling. Her husband, William N. Price, whom she married July 4, 1953, preceded her in death December 24, 2015.
Surviving are two daughters, Pamela K. Booth and husband Dana of Belington, and Lesa A. Coontz, of Philippi; one son, Gary W. Price and companion Rachel of Philippi
Three sisters, Joan Bolyard and husband Lenwood, Patsy Bolyard and husband Donald, and Faye Haddix and husband Burl of Philippi; one brother James F. Poling and wife Sue of Philippi
Seven grandchildren, Jeremiah Price and wife Lora of Monongah, Jeffrey Price and wife Lara of Philippi and Benjamin Price and wife Ashley of Martinsburg, Joshua Baker and wife Jamie of Philippi, Nicholas Baker and wife Marcy of Moatsville and Daniel Baker and wife Lorrie of Philippi, Brittany Scott and husband Jason of Fairmont and several great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Leota O’Neal, Esta Howdershelt and Rosalie Marsh and by one brother Kenneth Poling.
Mrs. Price was a 1951 graduate of Kasson High School. She was a homemaker and loved working in her garden and yard. She loved her family with all her heart. She was a devout Christian and loved her Lord, Jesus Christ. Mrs. Price was a member of the Central Chapel United Methodist Church.
Family and friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home and Crematory 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Monday May 10, from 4-8 pm, on Tuesday May 11, Mrs. Price will be moved to the Central Chapel United Methodist Church to lie in state from 10am- 2 pm. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm with Pastor James Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in the Central Chapel Cemetery. Due to the Governor’s Mandate face masks and social distancing will be required for everyone attending the services.
