Olen Manifa Nutter, Jr.

Olen Manifa Nutter, Jr., age 55, passed away on Monday April 30, 2018 at his residence on his family farm in the Brushy Fork Community. He had been in declining health and death was unexpected. He was born September 8, 1962 in Clarksburg, WV a son of the late Olen Manifa Nutter and Wilma (Edwards) Nutter Poling. Surviving two sons, Justin Tyler Nutter and fiancée Ashley Danielle Loy Christopher Ryan Nutter all of Clarksburg Step grandson, Owen Daniel Matthey of Clarksburg Brother, John Hiram Nutter, and wife Sondra of Bridgeport Nephew, John Nutter Jr., and wife Vicky Niece, Lori Nutter all of Bridgeport Aunt, Melva Freeze of Philippi Several special cousins, great nieces and nephews Amara Davis, mother of his two sons Special Friend, Tina Duvall Vincent Olen was preceded in death by several aunts, and uncles. He had worked for C & W Coal Company, and managed several restaurants. Olen loved spending time with his boys hunting and fishing, spending time with his classmates, and took great pride in the care of the family farm. In honor of Olen’s wishes cremation will be honored. Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Saturday May 5, from 2-6pm. A memorial service will be held at 6 pm with Pastor Bryan Headley officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Olen’s memory to Melva Freeze 12921 Barbour County Highway Philippi, WV 26416.

  2. I was heartbroken to hear of Junior’s passing. We communicated recently, and I learned of his health issues. We talked about days gone by and the Nutter family.
