I felt very privileged to have gotten to know and cut Olin's hair for the last few years. He was always smiling and very kind. Always upbeat and spoke lovingly of his family. I will miss our visits. ~Barbara

James Daugherty left a message on February 27, 2021:
Olin and I were roommates during our freshman year in 1952 at West Virginia University. At the time, we were both in the Engineering program. Later, we each landed up in New York. I was at Union Theological Seminary preparing for Ministry; and he was working on Long Island. We had a phone conversation but never managed to get together...He was a person of quiet humor, dependable, and easy to like. I grieve the passing of a friend and a fellow Mountaineer....James Daugherty, St. Louis, MO

I will forever cherish the time that Olin and I were able to spend together, usually working on one project or another. I could not have had better in-laws and always knew that Jesus was a constant presence in Olin's life. My deepest sympathy, thoughts and prayers are with all the family during this time.

My sincerest condolences in the passing of a kind, gracious and God loving man. Though I knew him for a brief period as time goes, I found him genuine, constant is faith and friendship. Earth is poorer and heaven richer for his passing. The blessing of Christ and the love of Christ be with each of you. From Jim and Wanda Steele
