Opal Virginia Anglin, age 81, a resident of Rt. 4 Philippi passed away Wednesday September 15, 2010 at her residence. She was born December 22, 1928 in Barbour County a daughter of the late Ernest and Ruth (Titchnell) Lantz. She was united in marriage January , 1947 to Blaine Anglin who survives. Also surviving is:

17 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren
Mrs. Anglin was preceded in death by one son Harold Gene Anglin, and one daughter June Poling.
Mrs. Anglin was a homemaker, she was a hard worker, enjoyed gardening, canning and making butterscotch pies, and she loved her grandchildren. She attended the Elk City United Methodist Church.
Friends will be received at Wright Funeral Home 216 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Thursday September 16, from 5-8 p.m. and on Friday September 17 from 8 a.m.- 2 p.m. the service hour with Rev. Dr. Robert A. Sisler officiating. Interment will follow in the EUB Indian Fork Cemetery.
