Oreta June Everson

Oreta June Everson, age 89, a resident of Belington, passed away Friday March 10, 2023 in Broaddus Hospital. Oreta was born June 3, 1933 in the Mt. Nebo Community in Upshur County, a daughter of the late Beulah (Sothem) Wright.
Oreta is survived by her sons; Thomas Larry Everson of Belington, and Richard Wayne Everson and wife Linda of Hambleton, WV
Brothers, Denver Sothem of Baltimore, MD, Donnie Wright, Robert Wright, and David Wright all of Buckhannon; sisters, Bonnie Holmes of Buckhannon, and Icie Harrison of Roanoke, VA; grandchildren, Jeremy Everson and wife Kerry, Danielle Everson, Jamie Everson, Brandy Everson, and Brian Everson; great-grandchildren, Sierra Everson Wolfe and husband Kyle, Isac Everson, Richard Everson, Koalton Everson, Haile Everson Arebvalo, Jaycee Everson, Matthew Everson, Jadlynn Everson; great-great grandchildren, Hudson and Thomas Wolfe. Close neighbor and friend Gary and Alice Cleavenger and their son, Jason Cleavenger

Oreta was preceded in death by daughter, Delores Jane Everson, grandson, Thomas Everson; sisters, Mary Lou Wright, and Maxine Chipp; brother, Okey Wright
Oreta retired from Davis Memorial Hospital as a diet clerk. She was a member of the Barbour County Senior Center, and the AARP. Oreta was an avid quilter and reader.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday June 3, 2023 at 1 pm in the Mt. Liberty Cemetery. There will be a covered dish dinner immediately follow the graveside service a the Mt; Liberty Community Building all are welcome to attend.
