Ralph Campbell

Ralph L. Campbell age 80 a resident of Flemington passed away Thursday, March 8, 2012 under the care of People's Hospice at the home of his daughter. He was born May 17, 1931 in Barbour County a son of the late Blanco and Martha (Williams) Campbell. Surviving is, One daughter, Debra and Carl Campbell of Flemington Three brothers, Olbert Lee Campbell of Buckhannon Martin Campbell and wife Ruth Ann of Buckhannon Olin J. Campbell of Philippi Three granddaughters, Five grandsons, Three great-grandsons, five great-granddaughters. Several Nieces and Nephews, he had two special nephews, Mike and Phil Crippen of Texas. He was preceded in death by three former wives, one son, one daughter, one sister and one granddaughter. He was formerly from the Arden community before going to Texas for 35 years and later returned to Flemington. Mr. Campbell worked as a truck driver for Badger Coal Company and as a truck driver while in Texas. He loved to hunt and fish. Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 216 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Saturday, March 11 from 4-8 pm and Sunday, March 12 from 8 am-2 pm the service hour with Rev. David Brown officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Olive Cemetery.
