Reva Gale Poling

October 6, 1935 ~ July 12, 2019

Reva Gale Poling, age, 83, a resident of Mansfield Place of Broaddus Hospital, and a former resident of Briar Patch Rd. Philippi, passed away Friday July 12, 2019. Reva was born October 6, 1935 in Ongeo, WV a daughter of the late Fred and May (Hedrick) Ketterman. Reva was united in marriage on November 2, 1962 to Clarence Poling who preceded her in death May of 1975. Surviving is children, Hank Shifflett of Morgantown Rick Poling and wife Tracy Michelle Poling and companion Tim Triplett Debbie O’Neal all of Philippi Brother, Roy “Buck” Ketterman and wife Kathy of Elkins 15 grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren Reva was preceded in death by two grandsons, Zachary Poling and Anthony Triplett, three brothers, Hubert, Earl, Sheldon Ketterman, Sister Murrell Ketterman. Reva worked for Broaddus Hospital as a cook. Reva enjoyed baking, cooking, playing bingo, she also enjoyed attending the different sporting events with the grandchildren. Reva was a member of the VFW Post #410 Ladies Auxiliary, she also attended the Union Church of Christ. Friend will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Saturday July 13, form 3-8 pm and on Sunday July 14, from 8 am- 1 pm. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm. with Pastor Bryan Headley officiating. Interment will follow in the Mountain State Memorial Gardens.

  8. Reva was my mother , Glenna Mathews, roommate at Mansfield Place.. She was a very sweet woman…always watching over mom and letting me know if she had been sick or anything else that came up.. I made a sign for her and my mother's door. She was such a sweet lady..

    prayers for your family.. I got to know her from being mom's roommate and realized she was a loyal friend and a good mother… Their deaths occurred only a few months from each other… to her children, you had a wonderful mother.
