Roger Lee Talkington, age 76, a resident of Philippi, went home peacefully on August 27, 2022 at his home. Roger was born on December 22, 1945 in Clemtown, WV. A son of the late Bernard Talkington and Ruth (Haddix) Talkington. Roger was married to Mary Beth (Finley) Talkington. Mary preceded him in death on December 23, 2011. Roger is survived by his loving children, Roger Boyd of Canton, OH, Rachel (Talkington) Rector of Garysburg, NC, Angie Bell of Canton, OH, Roger Lee Talkington and wife Shannan (Hays) Talkington of Flemington, WV, Melissa Lea Talkington and boyfriend Banjo Farris of Volga, WV, Melinda Lea(Talkington) Foster and husband James Foster Jr. of Linden, VA. Several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Also surviving two brothers, Ed Talkington of OH, and Robert Talkington of Philippi, sister Bertha Lake of Clarksburg. Roger is preceded in death by father Bernard Talkington, mother Ruth Talkington, wife Mary Beth Talkington, four sisters and brothers.
