Ronald Edwards

Ronald Dale Edwards Sr, age 68, a resident of Barbour County Highway passed away Monday March 31, 2014 at his residence from an extended illness. He was born November 18, 1945 at Mt. Clare, WV a son of the late Boyd Edwards and Gladys (Fenton) Edwards Cain. He was united in marriage to Rebecca (Kisner) Edwards who survives at home. Also surviving

One niece reared by Ronald and Rebecca; Kristina Kisner of Ft. Worth TX. And she has four children.

10 grandchildren, two great grandchildren

Mr. Edwards was preceded in death by identical twin brother, Robert Gale Edwards.
Mr. Edwards served in the US Army in Vietnam July 1968-1970, he served in the republic of Vietnam a front line infantryman and was discharged with an honorable discharge. He earned the National defense metal, Vietnam service metal with three bronze service stars, Vietnam campaign metal with 60 devices and combat infantryman badge.
In Ronald’s lifetime he built homes, was an auto mechanic, he drove coal trucks and worked on various coal tipples. He started driving gasoline tankers for Matthew Brothers and later drove tractor trailer for over 20 years for the US Postal Service.
Mr. Edwards enjoyed fishing, singing, and riding his motorcycle and cooking big meals for family and friends every opportunity he got.

Mr. Edwards request for cremation will be honored and no memorial service will be held.
