Ruby Johnson

Ruby Jane Johnson, age 75, a resident of Maple Ave. Philippi passed away Sunday November 9, 2014 in United Hospital Center. She was born June 7, 1939 in Stone Coal, WV a daughter of the late Thomas Modesitt and Genenieve (Cain) Costello who survives at Flemington. Ruby was united in marriage on April 10, 1965 to Walter R. Johnson, JR. who survives. Also surviving, One daughter, Debbie Fenstermacher and husband David of Philippi Three brothers, Dave Cain and wife Barbara of Ohio Gary Costello of Flemington Russell Modesitt and wife Nancy of Ohio Three grandchildren; David Fenstermacher, Jr., Charles Fenstermacher and Travis Yost. Three great-grandchildren; Joshua Bennett, Skyla Fenstermacher and Gage Fenstermacher. Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by one sister, Catherine Costello Yost and step-father, Raymond Costello She was an In-Home Care Provider for the Barbour Co. Senior Center. She was a member of the Belington VFW Post #410 Ladies Auxiliary and member Silent Grove Church. Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 from 6-8pm and Thursday, November 13 from 8am-8pm and Friday, November 14 from 8am-1 pm the service hour with Pastor Bryan Headley officiating. Interment will follow in the Belington Fraternal Cemetery.

We r so very much sorry for the loss of Ruby, she was such an inspiration to everyone she met, i am so glad i got to talk to her the last sunday she was there, i always enjoy my time talking to her, she was a wonderful wife, mother, Grandmother, brother, and Great Grandmother, and they all loved u dearly, we will miss u dearly, we will always b near to u, and always b right by our side.
