Ruby Lucas
November 21, 1928 ~ February 12, 2011
Ruby E. Bennett Lucas age 82 a resident of Stonewood formerly of Flemington passed away February 12, 2011 at United Hospital Center following an extended illness. She was born in Belington, WV a daughter of the late Eddie A. and Agnes Mae (Daniels) Bennett. She was united in marriage on February 10, 1962 to Stephen Lucas who preceded her in death February 17, 1990.
Surviving is:
One daughter, Elizabeth A. Farkas of Stonewood
One son, Danny Steven Lucas of Verona, PA
She also helped rear Cheryl McCauley Nguyen, Kevin McCauley, Marteney and Sadie Jacobs and Shawn Cordone.
Two sisters, Wanda Malachias
Josephine Marteney and husband William J. both of Newton Falls, OH
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Gribble and Betty Jean Kelly; Five brothers, Boyd Bennett, Clyde Bennett, Clearnce Bennett, Roy Bennett and Hebert Bennett.
She worked at Kines Restaurant in Philippi.
She was a homemaker and babysat for several families.
She was a member of Philippi United Church.
Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 216 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Monday, February 14, 2011 from 5-8 p.m. and on Tuesday, February 15, 2011 from 8 a.m.- 1 p.m. the service hour with Rev. James Steele officiating. Interment will follow in Belington Fraternal Cemetery.

My thought's and prayer's are with you all in this time of sorrow. God has made other plan's for Aunt Ruby and what a feast there will be now that she has gone home to our father and loved one's that have gone on before. I pray that god give's you all the strength that you need to get through this time. Aunt Ruby was a very special person and loved very much. I apologize i can not make it in for services living so far, but i will be there with you all in spirit and in thoughts and prayers. I love you all and God bless you.

Sorry to hear the death of your mother. Aunt Ruby was a good women, she babysitted alot of kids I remember when she would baby sit my Son frank.
