Shirley Gordon

Shirley Ann Gordon, age 53, a resident of Beech Ave. Philippi passed away Friday April 28, 2017 in Broaddus Hospital Emergency Room. She was born September 9, 1963 in Philippi a daughter of the late Herbert Junior and Shirley Mae (McGee) Simmons. Shirley was united in marriage on May 30, 1992 to Arell Keith Gordon who survives at home. Also surviving One daughter, Maranda Gordon of Philippi Sisters, Patty McMannis and husband Rick of Belington Betty McGee of Philippi Brothers, Robert Jay Simmons and wife Jessica of Belington Donald Dwayne Simmons and wife Cristina of Elkins David Lee Simmons and wife Wendy of Junior One expected grandchild Shirley worked as a cashier for Heart and Hand Ministries and was also a homemaker. She enjoyed playing bingo, and was a member of the Hunter’s Fork Church. Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Tuesday May 2, from 5-8 pm and on Wednesday May 3, from 8 am- 2 pm the service hour with Rev. Shirley Webster officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Olive Cemetery.
