Thomas Frederick Evix, age 72, a resident of Belington, passed away Monday September 5, 2022 in Ruby Memorial Hospital.  Tom was born September 27, 1949 in Boulder, WV a son of the late Curnell and Delta (Winans) Evix.  Tom was united in marriage February 27, 1978 to Brenda Sue (Plummer) Evix who preceded him in death May 21, 2019.  Surviving is son Matthew Evix and wife Trisha of Weston, sisters, Sylvia Haddix and husband Bob of Audra Rd., Linda Maylee and husband Eric of Carrollton Rd. Marlene Ware and husband Frank of Hall Rd., sister-in-laws, Donna Williams and husband Butch of Camden on Gauley, WV, Peggy Damewood and husband Buster of Camden on Gauley, WV, brother-in-law Albert Skarya of Philippi, several nieces, nephews, and extended family, special friends, Ashley Smith of Carrollton Rd.,  Robert Smithson of Belington.  Tom was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and brother, Odvert Dale Evix, sisters, Barbara Saffle, and Connie Skarya.

Tom loved the outdoors, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and looking for ginseng.  Tom was a member of Silent Grove Church where he served as an usher.

Friends will be received at Wright Funeral Home and Crematory 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Friday September 9, from 6-8 pm and on Saturday September 10, from 11am- 1 pm.  Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm with Pastor Bryan Headley officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Hebron Cemetery.  Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.wrightfuneralhomeservices.com  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Silent Grove Church at 320 Silent Grove Rd. Philippi, Wv 26416.
