Thomas Allen Mick, age 78, a resident of Rt. 4 Philippi passed away Thursday August 15, 2013 at his home after an extended illness. He was born February 16, 1935 in Fairmont, WV a son of the late Bryl Mick and Virginia (Glen) Mick Dodson. On September 2, 1962 he was united in marriage to the former Lillian May Simmons who survives.

One daughter; Julia Serback and husband Joe of Elkins
Six grandchildren; Bryan Mick, Andrew and Christopher Tuner, and Ethan, Shaun and Emily Mick
One brother; James Mick and wife Anna of Rock Hill, SC
Mr. Mick was preceded in death by four sisters; Jean Maruka, Edna White, Sue Parlett, and infant Eileen Mick.
Mr. Mick served in the US Air force. He was in the banking business for 37 years and retired in 1997 from the BC Bank in Philippi. He enjoyed camping, gardening, and spending time with friends and family.
Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 216 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Saturday August 17, from 5-8 pm and on Sunday August 18, from 8 am – 2 pm the service hour with Pastor Bryan Headley and Speaker Jessie Shaw officiating. Military honours will be accorded following the funeral service. Interment will be on Monday August 19, at 2 pm at the family cemetery in Madison, WV.
