Thurlow Robert “Bob” McDonald, 82, of Philippi died Tuesday evening, September 3, 2024 at home after a lengthy illness. He was born October 24, 1941 in Columbus, Ohio. He was the son of Robert J. and Norma Jean (Timmons) McDonald.
He is survived by his wife, Gurna “Gert” Weaver McDonald of Philippi, daughters Kim and Kelly of Indiana, Kathy of Wisconsin and Tonya of Masontown. His sons Matt of Indiana, Eric of Masontown, and Bobby of Durbin. He also had many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Norma Jean and Robert McDonald, his sister Eunice Ann Cremeans, his sons, John McDonald, Rick Weaver, and his daughter Donna Roscoe.
As per Bob’s wishes, no funeral or memorial will be held.
