Treva B. Booth

Treva B. Booth, age 90 a resident of Philippi, passed away Saturday November 17, 2018 in Mansfield Place of Broaddus Hospital. Treva was born September 11, 1928 in Moatsville, a daughter of the late Ottis and Mamie (Freeman) Nestor. Treva was twice married first to Irvin D. Tenney Jr. who preceded her in death on July 24, 1988, and second to Jackie L. Booth who survives. Also surviving- Sons, Michael Tenney and wife Donna of Groveport, OH Eliot Tenney and wife Sandra of Concord, NC Brother, Hubert Nestor of Moatsville Four grandchildren, Michael Tenney Jr. and wife Shelly, Michelle Rohr, Nicole Gochenour and husband Jason, and Brittany Majke and husband Brian Six great grandchildren Treva was preceded in death by seven siblings, Delbert Nestor, Ellen Moats, Bernice Nestor, Lena Green, Linda Resch, Dorothy Nestor, and Dollie Vincent Treva was the owner of Tenney’s Amoco, she enjoyed traveling, and attended the Corley Methodist Church. Friends will be received at Wright Funeral Home 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Sunday November 18, from 5-8 pm and on Monday November 19, from 8- 11 am the service hour Pastor Bryan Headley officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery.

  1. I can remember going to the old store on old 250 when I was a kid with my Mom and Dad, Mr. Tenney had a stove in the store and they would set around there and talk and than to the new store and I use to love to go in the new one and talk to her little dashhound! R.I.P. Mrs. Booth!

  2. Treva and my mother, Jean Fenstermacher, were good friends. They attended many church events. Many good memories of Treva.
