Troy Lee McCartney, Jr. age 48 a resident of Alder Ln. Philippi passed away unexpectedly on Friday October 19, 2018 at Broaddus Hospital. He was born June 1, 1970 in Philippi a son of Troy Lee McCartney Sr. and Arlina (Croston) McCartney. He was united in marriage in July of 1994 to Tracy (Mayle) McCartney who survives. Mr. McCartney was preceded in death by his grandparents, Burl and Irene Croston and Lawrence and Evelyn McCartney

He was a truck driver for State Electric

Lee enjoyed farming, camping, carpentry, hunting, riding four-wheelers and spending time with his family.

He was a member of Apostolic Olive Hill Church

Friends will be received at Wright Funeral Home 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Thursday, October 25th from 5:30-8pm, Friday, October 26th from 8am-8pm and on Saturday, October 27th from 8am-1 pm the service hour with Rev. Dolly Smith and Rev. Menelus Mayle officiating. Interment will follow in the Croston-McCartney Cemetery.
