Wanda Russ

Wanda Lee Russ, age 71, a resident of Rt. 1 Philippi, passed away Sunday December 5, 2010 in the Hospice Care Regional Inpatient Center in Elkins. She was born June 6, 1939 in Brownton, WV a daughter of the late Arthur and Vanila (Davis) Roy. She was united in marriage January 9, 1956 to John A. Russ Sr. who survives. Also surviving are Two son: Joe Anthony Russ and wife Pati of Streetsboro, OH John Dale Russ Jr. and wife Darlene of Philippi One sister: Betty Boyer of Brownton Four grandchildren: Kimberly, Brandy, Kyle and Jaimie Russ Three great grandchildren: Isiah, Sadie, and Alexis Russ Mrs. Russ was preceded in death by three sisters: Joanne Roy, Loretta Hare, Eileen Svagerko, three brothers: Gerald, Ronnie, Stanley Roy. Mrs. Russ worked as a punch press operator for Quality Stamping in Cleveland, OH for 27 yrs., she was also a homemaker and farmer. She enjoyed bowling, and going fishing and attended the Brownton Pentecostal Lighthouse Church. Friends will be received at Wright Funeral Home 216 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Tuesday December 7, from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday December 8, 5-8 p.m., and on Thursday December 9, from 8 -9 a.m. at which time she will be moved to Brownton Pentecostal Lighthouse Church to lie in state from 10-11 a.m. the service hour with Rev.
