Warren Melvin White, age 75, a resident of Philippi passed away unexpectedly Tuesday November 12, 2024. Warren was born on December 24, 1948. He was united in marriage to Grace Lorene (Reid) White who survives at home.
Warren retired from the US Marine Corp after 30 years of service. He was a member of the Philippi Lion’s Club, American Legion Post #44, and the Crim Memorial United Methodist Church. Warren was always willing to lend a helping hand, he enjoyed tending to his garden. Warren’ s pride and joy was the time he spent with his grandchildren.
Surviving is his loving wife Grace White, children Stephen White, and Elizabeth Curry and husband William; grandchildren Patrick White and Jack Thomas White.
Warren was preceded in death by his parents; son Michael Warren White; a brother; and two sisters.
Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home and on-site Crematory 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Thursday November 14, from 11 am- 1 pm. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 pm with Pastor Sam Haught officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery with military honors being accorded.
