William F. Menear, Jr.

William F. Menear, Jr., age 85, a resident of Flemington, passed away Tuesday November 19, 2019 in River Oaks Nursing Home. William was born May 9, 1934 in Lumberport, WV, a son of the late William Franklin Menear Sr. and Mabel Martha (Stire) Menear. William was united in marriage on March 16, 1957 to Norma Lea (Knotts) Menear who preceded him in death on December 14, 2008. Surviving are- Three children, Rick Menear and wife Mary of Fairmont Greg Menear and wife Stephanie of Philippi Lisa Menear and companion Larry Smith of Bridgeport Sister, Norma Joan McClain of Stonewood, WV Brothers, Ronald Menear and wife Connie of Marietta, GA Russell Menear and wife Connie of Akron, OH Brother-in-laws, Dick Wilfong and Milton Bartlett both of Galloway Nine grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren Several nieces and nephews William was preceded in death by daughter Shala Ann Menear, Brother, James Menear, sisters, Shelby Jean Edgington, Brenda Wilfong William worked as a coal miner for Consol Energy. He enjoyed spending time working on the farm, and enjoyed fishing. In honor of William’s request cremation will be honored.
