On Friday May 10, 2024, William Larry Weaver, a loving husband, father, papaw and great pappy passed away at the age of 78.
Larry was born on November 2, 1945, in Arden, WV to Lawson B Weaver and Florida Gay (Haller) Weaver. Larry was a Coal Miner for 22 years and worked for Kitt Energy. He was united in marriage to Leona M. (Poling) Weaver who survives at home on June 28, 1970, they would soon be celebrating 54 years of marriage. They had two sons, Roger L. Weaver and Larry D. Weaver.
Larry spent his life farming and working on the land that had been in his family for decades. Larry enjoyed checking cows and feeding his hogs and being outside from daylight to dark.
Larry was preceded by in death by his son Larry Dale Weaver and brother James L. Weaver.
Larry is survived by one sister Carolyn Sue (Weaver) Moats, his son Roger L. Weaver and significant other Billy Hardisty, granddaughter Leana (Weaver) Crouse and husband Wesley Crouse and great grandson Waylon Crouse; grandson William B. Weaver and significant other Brooklyn Robinson; grandson Cody Weaver; granddaughter Rebecca Parks her son’s Daniel and Dayton; granddaughter Samantha Goines and children Amiyah, Alijah, Amir, Amari and Kingston; granddaughter Zoey Weaver and her son Lucas; numerous nieces and nephews and extended friends and family.
Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home and on-site Crematory 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Tuesday May 14, from 5-8 pm and on Wednesday May 15, from 8am- 2 pm. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm in the funeral home chapel with Speaker David Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow in the Clemton Cemetery.
