January 14, 1946 - February 15, 2015

Wilma Gail (Woodford) McVicker age 69 a resident of Mansfield Place and a former resident of Mansfield Addition passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2015. She was born January 14, 1946 in Barbour Co. a daughter of the late David and Chattie Virginia (Queen) Woodford. She was united in marriage May 28, 1965 to Denzil L. “Lennie” McVicker who survives. Also surviving,

two nieces, Rosie Bardwell and husband David of Clarksville, TN
Theresa Johnson and husband Steve of Poquoson, VA

two great-nephews, Jeffrey Carnagey of Clarksville, TN
Shawn Anderson of Los Angeles, CA

She was preceded in death by one infant brother, George Woodford and one sister, Alice Jane Zirkle

Wilma was a bookkeeper and secretary.

She was a member of the Dorcas Rebekah Lodge #275, I.O.O.F. Lodge #59, Tygart Valley LEA #28, LEPM #1 and Mt. Olive Baptist Church.

Wilma graduated from Philippi High School Class of 1963.

Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Wednesday, February 18, 2015 from 4-8 pm and on Thursday, February 19, from 8am – 2pm the service hour with Rev. Richard Kiley officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Olive Cemetery.
