Winnie Mae (Foy) Hunt, a resident of Carrollton Rd. WV passed away Sunday July 16, 2023 at Ruby Memorial Hospital.
Winnie was born on May 8, 1940 the daughter of Garland “Clark” and Edith Mae (Moore) Foy. She was united in marriage on October 23, 1958 to Albert Hunt who preceded her in death on July 5, 2022.
Surviving is Debra Wilson and husband David of Buckhannon, Lisa Wright and husband Victor of Carrollton Rd., and Becky Green of Carrollton Rd.
Eight grandchildren, Derek Wilson and wife Maddy, Dustin Wilson and wife Kendra, Alex Green, Allyson Green, Andy Green, Chelsea Wright, Victoria Huff and husband John, and Heather Wright.
Eight great grandchildren, Dalton, Aden, Wyatt, Zoey, Mackenzie, Ellie, Harrison and Sophronia, also surviving is sister, Nancy Wooten and husband Kyle, Brother Larry Foy and wife Karen, sister-in-law Dora Ann Foy.
Winnie was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brothers, Garland and Carl Foy.
Winnie was a homemaker that loved spending time with her family, she enjoyed gardening and Sunday dinners with everyone that stopped by.
Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home and on-site Crematory 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Tuesday July 18, from 4-8 pm and on Wednesday July 19, from 2-4 pm. Funeral services will be conducted at 4 pm with Pastor Jim Strawderman officiating. Interment will follow in the Hunt Memorial Cemetery.
