Clara Martin

Clara Bernadette Martin, age 82, a resident of Volga passed away Friday April 15, 2011 in St. Joseph's Hospital in Buckhannon. She was born October 10, 1928 in New York. She was united in marriage on August 14, 1948 to Jackie Martin who preceded her in death on November 23, 2005. Surviving are:
Three daughters: Mary Anna King and husband Wesley of Hodgesville
Patty Davis and husband James of Philippi
Terry Lynn George and husband Lyle of Boulder
One son: David Ray Martin and wife Jenny of Newton Falls, OH
Six grandchildren, Two great-grandchildren
Clara worked in earlier years a as nurse at Myers Clinic, and later became a teacher's aide for Barbour County Schools. She enjoyed reading, gardening and planting flowers.
Friends will be received at Wright Funeral Home 216 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Sunday April 17, from 5-8 pm and on Monday April 18, from 8-11 am the service hour with Pastor Bryan Headley officiating. Interment will follow in the WV National Cemetery.
