Dorothy Marie Mayle

Dorothy Marie Mayle, age 78, a resident of Philippi, passed away Monday March 19, 2018 in Cleveland Medical Center in Cleveland, OH. She was born August 9, 1939 in Philippi, a daughter of the late Odie Daniel and Virginia Belle (House) Boylen. Dorothy was united in marriage on October 19, 1956 to James “Dump” Mayle who survives at home. Also surviving Four children, James Marklin “Mark” Mayle and companion Melissa Long of Philippi Jeffrey Luke Mayle and wife Mary of Canton, OH Elizabeth “Libby” Marie Poling and husband Mike of Philippi Earl John Mayle and wife Betty of Philippi Sister, Cora Mayle and husband Terry of Philippi Brothers, Arnold Boylen and wife Emma of Franklin, OH Frank Boylen and wife Sandy of Ashtabula, OH Thomas “Skeet” Boylen and wife Judy of FL Samuel Junior Boylen and companion Sara of Philippi Russell Boylen of Philippi 11 grandchildren, Daniel Mayle, Jimmy Mayle, Markus Mayle, Lincoln Mayle, Lukie Mayle, Jordyn McDaniel, Johnathan Davis, Stacy Stout, Michael Poling, Lynda Smith, and Travis Mayle. 20 great grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter and one great-great grandson Dorothy was preceded in death by one grandchild, Matthew John Mauller, brothers, Jim and Clifford Boylen, infant brother and sister, Charlie and Mary Boylen Dorothy was a homemaker and a coffee hostess for Sheetz in Philippi, she enjoyed cooking and gardening, and loved spending time with her family. Dorothy attended the Life Pointe Church in Clarksburg. Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Friday March 23, from 2-8 pm and on Saturday March 24, from 8 am – 1 pm the service hour with Rev. Ronnie Mayle officiating. Interment will follow in the Mayle Cemetery.
