Guestbook

  1. Fred was like an uncle to me. My Dad and Fred coached wrestling together and we're good friends. He was such a good person and always treated me well. My condolences to his family. May he rest in peace and out of pain forever.

  2. It was a honor to help take care of Fred at the Va Nursing home. He was definitely a character at times. His disease was a very hard one to watch. One day I ask him if he was ready for lunch he shook his head yes. Well one of his hands were touching the floor from the wheelchair I ask him to lift his arm up he did alright but not the one I needed lifted up. I said Fred not that one he said well you said to lift my arm so I did. He was funny at times. He had a smile like no other. Now he can rest easy and pain free. Rip Fred you will be missed by many. As for the family and friends of Fred I’m very sorry for your loss.

  3. May the love of God surround you and your family during this difficult time,
May you come to know that the love of God is with you always,

May your memories of Frederick Steven Daugherty, give you peace, comfort and strength…

Rest now in the arms of our Lord your mission on earth is complete.

  6. I knew Fred as a great athlete at Philip Barbour where he was a state caliber wrestler and later taught with him for many years at PBHS. He always had a smile on his face and a kind thought for everyone he came in contact with. The faculty and students all looked up to and admired him for his commitment to the school. He will be missed by all.

  7. I was very saddened to hear of your loss of Fred. I was on the wrestling and football teams in 1969, and I looked up to Fred (Freddy) as a person who always gave 100% effort, yet was humble and kind. He was a wonderful person and a good friend to everyone, I wish I had been able to spend more time with him.
