James Blair Frayer

James Blair Frayer, age 79, a resident of Midway Rd. Belington, passed away Sunday, November 12, 2017 in Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. James was born August 31, 1938 in Harbor Beach, MI, a son of the late Worthy and Irene (Durkee) Frayer. He was united in marriage on May 14, 1960 to Loraine L. (Mollison) Frayer who survives at home. Also surviving three children- Gary L. Frayer and wife Karen of Moatsville Rhonda Gould and husband Ted of Volga Cheryl Wolfe and husband Brent of Flemington Seven grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren James was preceded in death by one son, Robert A. Frayer. He was the last surviving member of his family having been preceded in death by six brothers and sisters. James retired from the US Airforce and also as a school bus driver for Barbour County Schools. He was a member of the VFW Post #410, he was an avid farmer, fisherman, and hunter. James enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Tuesday November 14, from 5-8 pm. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday November 15, at 2 pm at Locust Grove Cemetery with Rev. Jimmy Johnson officiating and military honors will follow.

  3. Prayers for Loraine and the family, we are grieving down here he was a good ole friend and we enjoyed his company, he will be missed, especially when we see a deer because he sure loved hunting them! God bless you all at this time!
