Jeffrey Craig Evix age 49 a resident of Carrollton Rd. Buckhannon passed on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at his residence. He was born March 5, 1965 in Upshur Co. a son of the late Odvert D. Evix and Barbara S. (Phillips) Coombs who survives. Also surviving,
One son, Jonathon Curnel Evix and fiancée Jenny Luff, Philippi
Two sisters, Debra Evix-Benton and husband Ray, Wilmington, NC.
Melissa S. Malcolm of Buckhannon
One brother, Allen Dale Evix and companion Teresa, Buckhannon
Four brother-in-laws, Charlie Taylor; Robert Taylor; Jesse Taylor and Mike Malcolm
Two grandchildren, Lauren Evix and Marshall Evix
Former wife, Rebecca (Taylor) Evix
Hunting friend, Jeremy Evix
Mr. Evix was preceded in death by one brother, Thomas Evix; grandfather, Curnel Evix and grandmother, Delta Mae Evix
He was an equipment operator for Rocky Road Paving.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing with his grandchildren
Mr. Evix’s request for cremation will be honored.
Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home 216 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Saturday, July 5, from 11am-2pm. A memorial service will be held at 2 pm with Pastor Bryan Headley officiating.
