Larry Junior Norris, age 78, a resident of Philippi, passed away unexpectedly Saturday June 29, 2024 at his residence. Larry was born November 15, 1945 in Barbour County a son of the late Harold R. and Mary M. (Farris) Norris. Larry was united in marriage on October 30, 1964 to Sharon Yvonne (Mayle) Norris who survives at home.
Larry loved to collect junk and sell antiques. He loved to farm and hunt. He enjoyed taking Sunday drives in the mountains. Larry adored spending time with his family, especially his grandsons, whom, he loved with a passion. He was always willing to help anyone in need and would give them the shirt off his back. He was a member of the Union Baptist Church in Simpson.
Surviving is his wife Sharon; children Lana J. Norris, Angie R. Pechart, Amanda N. Summerfield and husband Roger; grandchildren Isaiah Summerfield and companion Erynn, Austin Summerfield and companion Hanah, step grandchildren Hunter Pechart and companion Sierra, Skylar Pechart and companion Dylan, and Matthew Pechart; great grandchild Timberlynn Poling; brother Darrell Norris; sisters Freda Dalton, and Linda Adams and husband Lee; also several nieces and nephews.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents Harold and Mary Norris; infant daughters Michelle and Cynthia Norris; son-in-law Stephen Pechart; brothers Paul, Kermit, and Lonnie.
Friends will be received at the Wright Funeral Home and on-site Crematory 220 N. Walnut St. Philippi on Tuesday July 2, from 4- 8 pm and on Wednesday July 3, from 11 am- 1 pm. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Chris Stanley, Pastor Ruston Seaman, and Pastor Jerry Lewis. Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family.

So Sorry for your loss. I grew up around Larry. He was always nice and kind to me. I was at there house a lot. I was in 4H with Lana and Angie. I use to babysit Amanda. I know they will miss him a lot. May God be with you and comfort you. And I will keep you in my prayers.
