Robert Judson Corley

April 29, 1933 ~ December 4, 2023

Robert Judson Corley (Bob), age 90 departed this life on Monday December 4th 2023 at the Good Samaritan Retirement Center of Belington surrounded by his family. Bob is preceded in death by his parents Vern and Ica (Bennett) Corley and a son Norman Paul Corley. He is also preceded in death by five brothers and five sisters, Ernest Corley, Milton (Bud) Corley, Vern Corley Jr, Richard (Dick) Corley and Larry Corley, Mary Margaret Waller, Carol Holbert, Hilma Corley, Mavis Thompson and Karen Corley. His surviving family includes his wife Nina Corley (Meng), a twin sister Connie Metheny, Marion Moore and a brother Willis Corley, his children Nancy Corley, Robert Corley, Vernon (Ed) Corley and Valerie Trigg (Corley), His grandchildren Joshua Robert Goodnight, Rebecca Tunney, Vanessa Foley, Nicole Corley, Kaitlin Wright, Logan Corley, Lydia Corley and Isabella (Bella) Telles, His great-grandchildren AJ Friedman, Ava Tunney, Kendall Foley, Silas Tunney and Alora Wright. Bob is a retired Coal Miner and a United States Naval Veteran. He enjoyed taking nature walks, being outside and playing his guitar and banjo. During the last thirty years of his life Bob was an active member of the Philippi Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. There will be a memorial service at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses at 300 Valley Bend Road Belington, WV on Saturday December 16th, 2023 at 2PM.

  1. So sorry Nina & family. Just a little while longer and we will welcome Bob back. I think back at how my Dad used to talk about Bob, the relationship they had as Bible Teacher & student. Daddy was so happy that he could teach Bob about Jehovah and then to watch how Bob absorbed everything he was learning. So, happy we will be to see them both again in Paradise.
